Our College Admissions Service Process

SERVICES

Our services will help your family with every step of the college admissions process. For more than 25 years, these procedures have been successful for high, average, and low performing students.

COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM

  • UNLIMITED USE OF OUR SERVICE FROM DAY 1 UNTIL YOU GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL, AS NEEDED
  • Director and student review academic and extracurricular history; curriculum choices; recommendations of extracurriculars that colleges find important; preparation of a resume; how to explain extenuating circumstances on applications
  • Each student completes career and personality assessments.  Director, student, and parents review assessment reporting to generate insights about student habits and preferences and prospective career paths. Discussion of paths of study, careers, graduate schools, and long term plans.
  • Identification of 24 “best fit” schools; verification of academic rigor; kinds of students who attend; regional and national reputation of chosen colleges; difficulty of achieving at least a 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Discussion of Major and General Education requirements for each prospective school. Student, parents, and Director collaborate to reduce the list to 12 schools that will be applied to.
  • How, when, and where to prep for SAT/ACT; preferred dates for taking SAT/ACT.
  • Guidance on how teachers and counselor need to write personal recommendation letters that include major activities and positive characteristics; key points to cover in additional letters of recommendation
  • Planning college visits and discussion after the visits; what to look for during the time spent; possibly altering the list of colleges based on the “likes” and “dislikes” of college touring.
  • Interview Preparation
  • Director, student, and parents collaborate on whether to submit applications ‘early action’ (non-binding) or a single application ‘early decision’ (binding).
  • UNLIMITED APPLICATION AND SCHOLARSHIP ESSAYS; Director will work hand in hand with student to ensure that every essay is personal, detailed, appropriate, and written in the first person.
  • Continuous monitoring of time tables for essay drafts and final product; making certain that applications are submitted early. With “absent minded” students, student and staff submit all applications in-house.
  • Post-application letter that will positively affect the odds of admission
  • Each student receives our comprehensive guide to the college process including tips on college selection and visits, a college visit checklist, sample essays and resumes, letters of confirmation, and much, much more.
  • And, many more services; please phone to receive the list of additional services provided.
