
College students who are not achieving solid grades in their first 2 years need immediate intervention to prevent disaster. The intense competition for employment or graduate school mandates that your son or daughter acquires a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (preferably 3.3 or better) in college. For those students who are obtaining poor grades, on academic probation, are under-achieving versus their abilities, or a feeling lost or overwhelmed by college life, we have the following programs of support:
- College Life Management Program– A program for planning, reviewing, and accountability to obligations and goals. Weekly one-to-one sessions to plan and track results and build routines, habits, and states of mind leading to high levels of well-being and productivity.
- Learning to Learn: Study Skills and Methods Program – Reading for meaning, note-taking, study methods, and exam preparation for college courses in the major areas of the curriculum.
- Career Beginnings Program– Career and personality assessments and guidance on majors, curriculum, resumes, interview preparation, internships, and job search.
- Tutoring– Subject-area tutoring for college courses and graduate school admissions preparation for GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, etc. One-to-one in-person tutoring for local clients and for students from all over the world via web-videoconferencing.
- Transfer Admissions Consulting– Selection, application, essay writing, and interview assistance for those students seeking to transfer to a new college or university.
- Assessment of Learning Disabilities, Attention Problems (ADHD), and Autism Spectrum Disorders
